- Parking: Parking at Sewerby Hall and Gardens is free for visitors. For Sat Navs, please use the postcode YO15 1ED. Additional Pay and Display parking is available at the Sewerby Picnic Car Park and Limekiln Lane Car Park. Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points are available in the car park, next to the bin store, on a first come, first served basis. Accessible parking bays are available next to the EV charge points.
- Accessibility: Sewerby Hall and Gardens welcomes visitors of all abilities. The Hall has an accessible entrance via the courtyard and accessible toilet facilities are available on site. Some areas of the historic building may have restrictions due to the nature of the property. Due to conservation issues motorised wheelchairs, buggies or scooters are not permitted in the house or the first floor of the Old Laundry Block. A small amount of hand-pushed and self-propelled wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis. Prams and pushchairs are not permitted inside the Hall.

- Book tickets in advance, especially for popular dates, as capacity is limited and sell-outs are expected.

- While exploring the Hall, use your phone to scan QR codes in downstairs rooms for short audio histories of each space.
- Allow at least 60 minutes to fully enjoy the festive displays within the Hall, but feel free to spend the rest of the day exploring the zoo, gardens, and grounds.
- Dogs are welcome in the grounds, but only assistance dogs are permitted inside the Hall and Zoo. There is a designated dog-friendly area in the cafe.

When is Fairytales at Christmas taking place?
The event runs every weekend from Saturday 21 November 2026 until Sunday 3 January 2027, with closures on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 December. It is also open on Monday 21, Tuesday 22, and Wednesday 23 December.
What times is the event open?
The Hall is open during normal visitor hours, 11:30am - 3:30pm, with last admission at 2:30pm. There are two admission sessions: 11:30am-1pm and 1pm-2:30pm.
Do I need to book tickets?
Advance booking is recommended to guarantee entry, especially for busy dates. Annual Pass holders and Historic Houses members are also required to pre-book.
Is the event accessible?
Sewerby Hall and Gardens is accessible with an accessible entrance and toilets. However, motorized wheelchairs, buggies, or scooters are not permitted in the house due to conservation issues. Hand-pushed wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
